Moist scud, behind a gentle summer cold front, ensured color and texture in the waterfront’s sunset sky. After the end of the conference day, some folks liked to hit the bars, slam down cold brews and hot shots, and get hammered, while wailing about the unfairness of life’s many injustices, real and perceived. I roll differently. Having driven the long way up here, I saw instead an opportunity for beauty, grabbed some fast takeout dinner and, based on sun angle and position, headed to what promised (and turned out) to be a tranquil, serene end to the day at a lakeside park.
