The 2024 total eclipse in Dallas was nearly four minutes of astonishment, plenty of time not only for a few photos, but also, unrestrained and appreciative immersion in a rare moment of celestial glory, last experienced for about 2/3 as long, in a vastly different environment of eastern Wyoming’s High Plains. This zoomed-in image stacks a couple of totality shots for sky color (dark blue, not black!) and to show the closest to how I saw the corona, which was larger, brighter and differently shaped than the one seven years before. Yet like the last one, the biggest prominences were on the right side.
