Sunrise Brush Strokes
Just above the horizon, blazing streaks of color striped the sky on layered strands of cirrus, as if swept across a fluid canvas on brilliant brush strokes. Zooming deeply into the farthest reaches of this amazing display brought out reds of a depth and intensity seldom seen, except through binoculars. Not even the slightest “saturation” adjustment was performed on this image—none needed when diving far into the longest and reddest reaches of Rayleigh scattering.
