Meltwater, dripping profusely from the edge of a Jokulsarlon iceberg, metaphorically represents all kinds of concepts to the thinker, from the scientifically controversial to the artistically abstract. One’s mind can run amok in the possibilities, and mine nearly did. Instead, such a runaway train of thought braked upon meeting the simple beauty of the moment, a compulsion to shut down the mental noise, relax, look, then close my eyes and listen amidst one of the most viscerally peaceful experiences imaginable.
