A mixture of conifer greens, lingering broadleaf greenery and brilliant fall-foliage colors decorated the hills of southern New Hampshire on a clear, post-frontal day, surrounding small lakes. The flight from Boston to Chicago offered several interesting and uncommon visual experiences peering through the window, the erratic splash of autumnal tree color being one. The three top water bodies, left to right, are Silver Lake, Childs Bog, and Harrisville Pond, with the town of Harrisville at its right (southeast) end. The little lake in the middle is Seaver Reservoir (note dam on near/southwest side), with Chesham Pond as the bottom of the largest water bodies.
